A Give-Away to Celebrate 300 Posts

300 Posts!

I have written 300 posts.  I am pretty amazed.  To celebrate I am going to give away 6 coordinated pieces of fabric.  Each piece is about  35"  x  22"  .  I made them by following directions from Design Matters TV with Laura and Linda Kemshall.  The directions are very much like a parfait dye.  The variation is that instead of layering the scrunched fabric in a tall narrow container, the fabric is scrunched into separate balls in a box, packing them very tightly.  A different color of dye is liberally poured on each separate ball of tightly scrunched fabric and of course the dye bleeds onto the neighboring fabrics.  Okay first the rules and then I will post pictures of the fabric.

Rules to Enter the Give-Away
Pretty simple!  Just leave a comment here telling me about one of my posts that you remember or enjoyed.  You can enter a second time by signing up to get my posts by email--a brand new feature for me.  I will use my personal random number generator (my dear husband) to pick the winning number on Saturday, December 17.  I will get the fabric in the mail as soon as possible and you might even get it in time for Christmas!  Ho Ho Ho

And my favorite two pieces are last.  I love the depth and richness of them in person.

  1. Great fabric Judith! What a wonderful give-away. You know I LOVE your "Friday Favorites." I don't think I could pick just one of those. I have learned how to do new things and have found great new blogs. Congrats on the 300th post.

  2. Congrats Judith. Some lucky person will get a great piece of fabric!!

  3. Beautiful fabric, don't know which is my favorite. I always like your Friday Favorites, and was disappointed when you discontinued them for a while. My favorite post, and the first that caught my attention, was your Field of Dreams pink & green piece for Interpret This. Still love that piece!

  4. Favorite posts:as much work as your Friday posts must be, I always enjoy them and find something new in them.

Congrats on your 300th post! And the fabric is beautiful. Thanks for the giveaway.

  5. A peek at roots and dye work is one of my favorites. I love all the post on dye work. I follow your blog and read all your posts.
Congratulations on your 300 hundredth post. These fabrics came out great. I've tried the jar method, but now I'll have to try this too.

  6. beautiful fabric, love your friday favorites

  7. The loved learning about the snow dyeing and I do receive your emails I think...my computer has been ill for three days. Peace to you and yours this Holiday season. Peace, Mary Helen

  8. I have you in my Reader List, so I see all of your posts... some sooner than others as I am behind in my reading! Thats what a vacation does to the virtual life.... I am a want to be dyer and reading about your experiences.... gives me hope. I may just have to try this technique. Doesn't appear to be too messy.

  9. Hello - these are absolutely fab! I must try this technique. I have a bit of time over Christmas, hopefully no house guests and the opportunity to make a bit of a mess in the kitchen! I feel the dye pots calling! Hilary
