First it was all about quilting and then dyeing and then I started making books and zentangling and drawing. Now I have given up on limiting myself and this is all about my creative journey. Hope you'll join me on my journey and invite me on yours!

Texture
Beth loaned me two DVDs by Gwen Hedley. All that was on the DVDs were pictures of textures that inspired her. So, I decided to start my own texture library to use for inspiration. Here are some texture pictures that will go into my library. All the pictures were taken in the steel yard at UMA. Do you have a favorite?

ReplyDeleteThe pictures are wonderful! I also keep a "visual diary" of textures and shapes that interest me. It's very useful. My favorite is the first one -- I guess I just love the strong linear quality and the mostly vertical orientation.
