Undyeing

Sounds interesting, huh?  Here are the 1, 2, 3, and 4 posts on the Fire Blog that explains what it is and how to do it.

Here are my little pea pods, dyed, wrapped, boiled, and now waiting to dry before I unwrap them.  The centers are the green and the outer edges are purple.  Rather than folding it in any of the ways demonstrated on the Fire blog I simply pinched the fabric in the middle and let the fabric drape down and started wrapping.

The blocks are 6 1/2 inches square.  I am planning to make 48  to sew together into a baby quilt.  I'll be ready for the next family baby.

Here is the big reveal.

I am not all the impressed.  I think I will use a third color on the rest and maybe boil them a bit longer.

  3. The tie may not be tight enough on the soft pod to leave a more distinct pattern but they are looking good!
